Correcting Recurrent Pterygiums

- Mild
- Medium
- Large
Additionally, he further classifies the pterygia based on their location:
- Unilateral
a. Medial: toward the nose
b. Lateral: toward outer part of the eye
c. Superior or Inferior: less common locations - Bi-temporal: on each side of the eye
- Circumferential
Furthermore, the recurrence is classified:
- Limited: recurrence within previous surgical area
- Extensive: involving adjacent ocular tissues
