Being the eye surgeon of choice for Optometrists and their families from all over the world, recently some of the doctors he operated on from Chicago insisted that he allow their residents in training to rotate through his practice to see the level of vision corrective techniques that are possible while most surgeons they work with keep presenting the same cookie-cutter options without a real fight to take patients to vision.
This passion of Dr. Gulani is reflected in having had numerous optometry leaders observe at our institute firsthand the surgical possibilities, patient vision outcomes and passionate patient interaction that raise the bar on the profession of eye care itself globally.
He is also credited as being among the first to include optometrists as co-authors in an eye surgical textbook he authored with fellow eye surgeons worldwide (Thieme Publishers; Stuttgart, Germany & New York, USA).
Numerous staff of Gulani Vision Institute have been encouraged by Dr. Gulani to enter the field of optometry and are presently flourishing optometrists in many parts of the country and world.
Though accepting this perceptorship at Chicago College of Optometry adds one more responsibility on his already full plate of professional responsibilities, Dr. Gulani has accepted it with pleasure to ingrain these very concepts while inspiring every optometrist who will be selected to rotate at our Institute.

I have personally witnessed Dr. Gulani’s vision correction surgeries which raise the bar on Lasik itself to an ART.
