 My right eye was extremely Myopic (20/400 vision) and left eye had Astigmatism plus scar tissue. Cataracts in both eyes and left eye cataract had exfoliated making surgery even more difficult. Corrected vision with contact lenses was still poor making night driving in strange areas scary at best. My visual world was terribly restricted and I was missing lots of things because I could not see well. Bad eyesight can slow you down terribly. For example, a month ago I would have needed to wear corrective lenses just to see my computer screen.

I needed cataract surgery and my optometrist, Dr. Jeffrey Shearer, referred me to Dr. Gulani.  I had trusted my eyes to Dr. Shearer for over 20 years and his recommendation was good enough for me.

From start to finish everything was comfortable and professional. Gulani Vision Institute offices and staff are “State of the Art” and leave nothing to be desired in patient care.

I genuinely like Dr. Gulani as a physician and more so as a caring person with a great passion for his work.. His clear and patient

of many talents and I feel that it would be interesting to just sit and chat with him.

I really had no idea what I was missing. My eyesight was never great and over the years it had deteriorated. Suddenly I am seeing better than I ever have! It’s like walking around in a fog for years then stepping out into a clear day. Until it happens to you there is no way to explain how much more confident in yourself and better life is with good eyesight.

How he planned with Cataract and Lasik surgery combination to take care of my cataracts, corneal scars , astigmatism and vision has been amazing.

Surgically Dr. Gulani is amazing as my eyes were a real challenge and probably other eye surgeons would not have attempted what he accomplished. He explains his procedures to me very clearly and I could tell that he really cared about my vision and about me as a person.

As far as I am concerned Dr. Gulani is the best in his field and I certainly would urge anybody to come from anywhere to GVI. Actually, I just gave one of his cards to my hairdresser’s husband, today.
