My vision was very poor and to the point that I could barely distinguish people’s facial features without my glasses.  I couldn’t read road signs from a distance or drive.  Although my contacts and glasses would improve my vision, it was uncomfortable to wear glasses and to remember to take them off every night.  My glasses gave me a lot of tension around my nose and headaches.  It would take me longer to get ready in the morning.  It affected me at work every time I was experiencing headaches, which I could not help since I had to continue using my contacts. I used to work for University of Phoenix, which is located in the same building as GVI.  While working there I noticed an event about LASIK going on at GVI.  It was a presentation and I stopped in on my way out.  I was not able to stay for the presentation, but I went by the next morning and of his representatives gave me a package.  I was not sure at the time because of cost, but she advised me to just come speak with him.  I believe that first visit made me decide that if I was going to have a procedure done, then I would want it done by Dr. Gulani. It gave me a sense of comfort and peace knowing that he is among the 100 best doctors in the nation. 

GVI has a professional look to it and makes you feel more comfortable. The staff in courteous and Dr. Gulani has a well organized operation at GVI.  He is attentive and spends the time to make his patients feel taken cared of and comfortable. 

Dr. Gulani is very professional and extremely knowledgeable in the field of vision.  He is an excellent doctor.  I was impressed with the personal approach the time he takes to educate his patients and explain the procedure he recommends.  In my case, for example, I went in wanting LASIK but he recommended PRK because of my cornea being thin.  I am grateful I went to him because another doctor told me I was a good candidate for LASIK.

I am loving it!!! My vision had improved tremendously.  I still cannot believe I am not wearing contacts.  Sometimes I still go to the bathroom to remove my contacts.  Its such wonderful feeling to be able to SEE…To see the clock in the morning…To see people without having to run for your glasses…I work with children and now its so easy to just go out and play with them without worrying about my glasses falling off or breaking, about headaches or contacts irritating my eyes.  Life is just more comfortable and I love that…

Dr. Gulani’s skills speak for themselves.  He educates not only his own patients, but other eye surgeons around the nation and the world.  That speaks highly of his ability and surgical skills.  He is among the 100 best doctors in the nation.  I am not a medical expert, but my personal experience with Dr. Gulani is that he really took the time to explain to me everything he was doing and how he was going to do it.  I then took that information and researched it and read about those procedures.  The information Dr. Gulani shared with me was very much in line with what I found.  When you put your eyes in somebody else’s hands you want to make sure it’s the right person and someone who will take care of you as if he is treating his own eyes.  That’s how I felt with Dr. Gulani.

Everyone that asks me about my eyes I tell them about my experience with Dr. Gulani.  I believe he is the best at what he does.  I would recommend him to patients anywhere in the US and anywhere in the World.
