Not only do we have experts in lasik and other forms of refractive surgery, but the East West Eye Institute also has experts in the fields of glaucoma, corneal disease and oculoplastics (plastic surgery of the eyelids).Our doctors utilize advanced laser technology to treat conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, various forms of glaucoma, and secondary cataracts. Eyelid and facial rejuvenation can be obtained with BOTOX, blepharoplasty or a combination of these procedures. Our doctors have performed thousands of cataract operations and utilize topical anesthesia with no-stitch, no-needle techniques to optimize patient comfort. In addition, we incorporate some of the latest technology for cataract surgery such as the ReSTOR Multifocal IOL which allows vision at both distance and near simultaneously, thereby minimizing the need for glasses postoperatively.
